OKX not in the App Store?
Here’s why, and what’s safe.
Searching the App Store and finding nothing, or finding three look-alikes, is a common first hurdle. This guide covers why that happens, what’s safe to do, and how Android users deal with install warnings.
Why can’t I find OKX in the App Store?
Apps are published per App Store region. OKX isn’t listed where it doesn’t offer service or where local rules require removal (mainland China is the best-known example). If OKX is missing in your store, first check whether OKX serves your country at all; if it doesn’t, you won’t be able to complete verification anyway.
Look-alike names such as “OKX Pro”, “OKEX Wallet” or apps from unknown developers are not OKX. Check the developer name, and verify download links in the OKX app’s “Official verification channel”.
App Store region: how it works
Your App Store region follows your Apple ID’s country. If you’ve moved to a country where OKX is available, update your Apple ID country in Settings → your name → Media & Purchases. Apple requires you to spend any store balance and cancel subscriptions first, and you’ll need a payment method valid in the new country (or “None” where offered).
After changing, search “OKX” again and check the developer before installing.
Android: Huawei or Xiaomi blocking the install
Install OKX from Google Play where available, or from the download page on okx.com. Some phones warn about apps from outside their own store:

Only do this for the file you downloaded from the official OKX download page, never for an APK from a chat group or file-sharing link.
How to spot a fake OKX app
- Source: only okx.com’s download page and official app stores.
- Name and developer: fakes use near-miss names or add “Pro”, “Lite” or “VIP”.
- Behaviour: any app that asks you to send money to a person, or pay an “unlock fee” to withdraw, is a scam.
- Verify: OKX app → Help → Official verification channel checks websites, emails, phone numbers and social accounts.

OKX publishes a list of restricted regions in its terms. If you live in one, you can’t use OKX regardless of how you install the app.

05My Android phone says OKX is risky. Is it?
If the file came from the official download page, the warning just reflects that it didn’t come from the phone maker’s store. Verify the link in the OKX app if unsure.
